Education Services Specialist
UMACHA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the member-facing functions of the Education Services Department while working very closely with the VP, Education & Compliance and Associate Director(s) of Education Services
- Facilitate and/or present multiple webinar programs either individually or jointly with co-workers for members and non-members using our webinar platform or other partner’s platforms
- Support items related to the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) program
- Serve as one of the primary persons to answer member calls when it comes to telephone customer service
- Cross-train with the basic functions of the other departments so the office is appropriately cross-trained
- Assist in the marketing of educational programs by reviewing articles or marketing pieces that will be shared through newletters or mailings
- Complete miscellaneous projects and various tasks as needed by management
- Assist the VP, Education & Compliance and Associate Director(s) of Education Services in the research and the development of training sessions
- Participate on national work groups as directed to by the VP, Education & Compliance
- Support functions related to the Association’s annual Navigating Payments conference as directed by the Executive Vice President or designee as needed.
NECESSARY SKILLS:
- AAP (Accredited ACH Professional) preferred as well as any certifications or accreditations
- Check, Image, and RDC knowledge preferred
- Banking experience (ACH experience is strongly desired)
- Public speaking/training
- Experience teaching adults, preferably in the banking industry
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills (the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers)
- Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities under sometimes strict time guidelines
